Ask this question and you’re left open to spammy SEO companies who plug their own sites as ‘the best.’

I’d look at several companies near you locally (try Googling ‘SEO’ and your location) and ask for quotes/plans off of each. Compare them and go with the company you find the best.

You want a company you can trust, who are straight up, very organised and know their stuff.

Carly has the best answer. Google (or Yahoo! or Bing) the phrase “ internet marketing” or “ seo”.

Don’t click on the sponsored ads, click on the organic results.

Don’t use the company website’s contact form, call the phone number.

Ask for a client list and for the clients’ contact information.

    Good luck.

    Christian Man,

Depending on the type of company you own I can Guarantee first placement on Google… I can put you there for free within 24 hours of registering and you can decided if you wanna stay there. We are a small company and work on a month by month basis. DONT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH AN SEO.

We are also running a SEO firm. No one can guarantee about the ranking. You can check the cheapest and best package by two ways.

    1. Compare the number of submissions.

    2. Compare the quality of work

SEO directly related to the number of backlinks, so its better to consult one who offers more submissions.

Cheap and good don’t usually go hand in hand.

Opt to go with someone local that you can meet. HIring a web marketer (not just an SEO) takes the same process as anybody else. Get references, ask them to explain what they’ll be doing, what they’ll disclose, how they’ll report.

For someone competent in a local market for a low competitive market you should expect to pay around 100/page to optimize and then X amount / month to work towards getting incoming web links. The size of all this depends on how competitive your market is and how big your web site is.

Or, you could skip all that and learn on your own.

If you need quality service, don’t think about price negotiation. although, be aware of market price. I think you can find good SEO company for $10 per hour. That is the good price.
